Migrantski delavci v kmetijstvu. Kako ustvariti varno in zdravo delovno okolje
Migrant workers play an important role in modern agriculture. However, due to specific working, living and social circumstances, they may be at greater risk of mental distress, exhaustion and occupational injuries. Their well-being is shaped by an interplay of factors such as demanding working conditions, language barriers, insecure employment or legal status, social isolation, separation from family and limited access to healthcare. The brochure outlines key vulnerability factors and signs of mental distress and provides practical guidance for creating a safe, healthy and inclusive working environment. It highlights the importance of clear and accessible communication, appropriate induction and training, decent working and living conditions, social support and the timely recognition of distress. It is intended for employers, agricultural advisers and other professionals who can play an important role in protecting migrant workers’ health and contributing to safer and more sustainable agriculture.
