Ad fontes. Otorepčev zbornik

The monograph was published on the occasion of Prof. Boža Otorepec's 80th birthday. The thematic sections are determined by the main research areas of the jubilarian. The individual chapters deal with originals and their interpretation, the field of spragistics, genealogies as well as archives and library collections. Legal history is not neglected in the work either. The contributions are thematically coordinated and, above all, new.

Among the publications and commentaries on the originals, P. Štih's discussion of the hitherto ignored convent in Koper from 908 is worth mentioning. D. Mihelič writes about the originals from around 1200, which complement the lists of the bishops of Trieste and Koper. N. Golob presents the original of the Austrian Chronicle of the 95 Lordships, which she discovered in America. I. Voje analyzes the forms of the medieval Dubrovnik promissory bill, and Z. Bonin analyzes the valuable original of the Istrian will from the 16th century. R. Härtel presents a chapter on the transmission of documents from the Beligna monastery. A. Lavrič summarizes her knowledge of J. G. Dolničar as a chronicler of Ljubljana. Matjaž Bizjak's study of land ownership in Gorenjska is also based on the originals - the account books. The chapters on travel and earlier school and college years are based on the sources. The authors of the former are W. Brunner and D. Darovec, for the latter J. Šumrada and E. Holz. On the subject of seals and coats of arms, K. Mahnič Žvanut and B. Žabota have commented. H. Krahwinkler, on the other hand, took a serious look at the subject of Styrian genealogy. Among the chapters on archives, museums and libraries, the contributions by M. Preinfalk, G. Bernhard, I. Žmuc and G. Modra are worth mentioning. Legal-historical questions are illuminated by the contributions of F. Kresala and J. Melik, to name but a few of the authors.
