Dela starejšega slovenskega slovstva

The book collection Dela starejšega slovenskega slovstva ('Works of Older Slovenian Literature') is published in conjunction with the Zbrana dela slovenskih pesnikov in pisateljev ('Collected Works of Slovenian Poets and Writers'), with the aim of reducing the deficit in the research, publication and reception of older Slovenian literature and improving our understanding of it. In addition to the differences between older and newer Slovenian literature, the aim is also to show the partial continuity in the centuries of Slovenian literature and art. The collection is intended to offer Slovenian scholars and the general public a selection of older texts for reading, characterised primarily by literary elements, but also by contextual aspects such as the interest and novelty of the content, the meaning or function of these texts in the contemporary national context, and so on.
