Copyright Notice

Authors who publish with ZRC SAZU agree to the following terms:

Authors acknowledge that they are the authors of the submitted paper and agree that the authorship will be properly cited in both print and digital editions by Založba ZRC. All decisions regarding layout and distribution of the work are in hands of ZRC SAZU.

Authors guarantee that the work is their own original creation and does not infringe any statutory or common-law copyright or any proprietary right of any third party. In case of claims by third parties, authors commit their self to defend the interests of the publisher, and shall cover any potential costs.

Authors retain copyright in the published paper and only license to ZRC SAZU a non-exclusive right to first publication and distribution of the published work.  All the books are published using one of the Creative Commons 4.0 International Licenses. Users can access and use all monographs and individual articles published in them under the terms and conditions of this license. This does not apply to third-party materials published in the books.

Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a journal), providing they acknowledge the initial publication was made at ZRC SAZU, Založba ZRC.

Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work.

ZRC SAZU actively supports open science and also the re-use of published material. However some works were published under the conditions of different and compex license agreements with authors or under statutory presumptions on copyright ownership. If you would like to use any of the works in a way that the quoted license does not allow, please describe your wishes and apply for permission via the address zalozba@zrc-sazu.si.
