Inštitut za slovenski jezik Frana Ramovša / Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language

The series includes general and special dictionaries of the Slovene language, especially terminological dictionaries for various scientific and professional fields, historical dictionaries, dialect dictionaries, and other dictionaries that enable learning and studying the structural and historical layers and aspects of the Slovene language. Most of the dictionaries are also published in the online collection Fran, while the terminological dictionaries are also available in the online collection Terminologišče. Part of the Fran portal and the Institute's broader dictionary projects is the newer subseries Rastoči slovarji ('Growing Dictionaries'), which provides electronic editions of the annual new acquisitions in the fields of general lexicography, orthography, new vocabulary, etymology, and school dictionaries in a complete PDF format.
